We went to Seattle today. And since I am writing this post-trip, I can say that the whole trip went as smoothly as possible, the weather was good, no major transit problems, good use of our limited time, hotel was good, all was well and fun.
On Sunday, we got up there via Amtrak, took light rail to Westlake Mall, had lunch in the food court, took the monorail to the Space Needle, then went to the Chihuly Glass Museum which I thought was really cool, then went back to our hotel, had dinner at the hotel, and called it a day.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Avery and Nik went to church.
- On the train.
- Wolfy propped on Yelly to watch the Columbia River out the window of the train.
- Down in the transit tunnel. Aaron called this artwork “Metal Origami.”
- On the light rail.
- On the monorail.
- From the monorail, the first look at the Space Needle.
- Chihuly Art Museum. Next time I want to take them to a glassblowing art studio on 5th Street.
