Avery went to Goddard today. Here is his report. Avery also spent his first night in his toddler bed. It went ok, except this morning he got up on his own to play with the big kids and then had a fit when I told him he needed to get dressed and have breakfast. So, it is a bit of getting a new routine down.
Big Kids:
- We read “Greetings, Sun” from DER. Aaron read it and we answered the questions.
- We did the practice book and “thinking cap” from the textbook and practice book in MIF Ch. 13, Lesson 6.
- They did 2pp. of Sylvan and spelling words
- Naim did worksheets and red Big Bad Ben in end of book review in HOP.
- Aaron did Lesson 3 DVD and book in HOP.
- Naim and I did a bunch of work with telling b and d apart. He practiced Bb and Dd on the iPad apps for handwriting.
- Aaron did 2pp. in HWT.
- They watched BrainPop about lasers and simple machines.
- They finished up the magic schoolbus unit on air and we did a jet propulsion experiment with a balloon.
- They played outside (big wheels, etc.) for 1 hour.
