We are a homeschooling family that uses an eclectic approach that relies heavily on democratic principles to choose our lifelong learning path. This site is more of an assessment tool for ourselves to keep us accountable and keep track of what we do. It also serves as sort of a porthole for the kids to do some of their work online. I got the idea from the teachers of Windsor House Free (yet, public!) school in Vancouver, BC, who use family blogs to assess their students in lieu of grades and report cards. It's pretty much a private blog that just documents our own family tedium. So we are not actively looking for an audience but we are always open to meeting new families and sharing ideas about education and life. Also, we are always up for a good homeschool kid meet-up or ideas for good "field trips".
